The hose only needs to be about 8 to 10 inches long and each fitting (one on tank, one at the underside of lid assely) is offset from the other, so the hose has to make a sort of "S" turn. I can''t get the @#$% hose on the fittings without kinking it. It''s a marine grade fuel hose.
